About Hina Khan:
Hina Khan born in Srinagar is an Indian actress of Kashmiri Muslim ethnicity. She plays a lead Protagonist role in the Indian Television series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.Hina Khan completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 2009 at the CCA School of Management, Gurgaon, Delhi. She wanted to be a Journalist, but instead became an actress. She had interviewed for Air hostess and had been selected for the 6 months training in Mumbai, Maharastra, but could not go because she suffered from malaria. One day, with her friends, she went in for auditions to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She did not take the audition seriously, but very next day she got a call from the producer that she has been selected for the main lead. Hina is a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol and Smriti Irani.
Hina Khan as Akshara:
Hina Khan is the latest entrant to the glam world of television. She has definitely succeeded in wooing the audiences with her character Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. It is a tale about finding love after marriage and how two people bond after tying the knot. She confessed that she always had this desire to act but never thought that she would get the chance to realize her dream. As she comes from a non-acting background, facing the camera was not an easy task for her. She took two weeks training in acting from Amardeep Jha before joining Yeh Rishta. Hina relates to her character Akshara to a great extent. Just like her character, she too gets a lot of love, support and pampering from her family. Hina Khan was born to a Muslim family in Srinagar, Kashmir, India and later moved to New Delhi for her education. Her mother's origin is Srinagar, Kashmir and her father's origin is Mumbai. She has a younger brother. She currently resides in Mumbai with her family. In an episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, there was scene in which Akshara made jewellery designs for Naitik; the designs were made by Hina Khan herself for use in shooting.Hina is dating her Yeh Rishta director Neeraj Baliyan currently after her break up with Ali Merchant.
