Chitrashi Rawat is an Indian hockey player, who turned into an actress with the film Chak de india which was in the year 2007. Since she had a background as a hockey player, she was selected as one of the star cast and had the opportunity to work with bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. Chitrashi hails from Dehradun and was seen hosting the star Gold's Sabse Favorite Kaun and was also a contestant in the TV show Comedy Circus 2. Chitrashi was interested in acting and the glitter of the film industry, but was hesitant to go into the glam world,Bollywood film director Madhur Bhandarkar roped her into the film Fashion and offered her the role of shommu, which was readily accepted by her. Chitrashi Rawat was born on 29 November 1989 to Tirath singh Rawat and Yashoda Rawat in Uttarakhand. At age 17, Chitrashi played left striker in hockey for Uttarakhand state in India. She was picked for the role of a hockey player in the movie Chak De India by the producers after an audition in Jabalpur. Chitrashi is a student of the Guru Nanak Academy. Chitrashi regularly represents the Uttarakhand hockey team in the national championships. Currently, she is studying at St. Andrew FYBMM pursuing her bachelor's degree in mass media. She has campaigned for Minute Maid pulpy orange, along with co-stars Vidya Malvade and Sagarika Ghatge.
