Barun Sobti, has won the hearts of millions of viewers in a short span of time. Barun Sobti Biography:
Barun Sobti was born on 21 August 1984 into a Punjabi family at delhi. He completed his schooling and graduation from delhi itself. He is multilingual & good at English, Hindi and Punjabi. Barun Sobti started his career from the STAR Plus serial "Shraddha" opposite to Neha Jhanpandit but was later recognized for the role of Shravan Jaiswal in Tv serial "Baat Hamari Pakki Hai" opposite to Ankita Sharma. Barun played the most loved character of "Arnav Singh Raizada" in "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon" with sanaya Irani as "Khushi kumari gupta". He also hosted star parivaar awards 2012 and won few awards as an individual and for couple for "Iss pyaar ko kya naam du". Noreen Khan from BBC interviewed sobti in march 2012. Now,Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam doon has got ended and the reason is his Bollywood project, "Main Aur Mr Right", in which even Shenaz Treasurywala is featured and plays a pivotal role which is completed and is ready to get release. Sobti's next film for cricket lovers 22 Yards is slated to get release as its shooting got started in January.

Barun before entering into to entertainment industry worked as an operation manager at Jindal Telecom for 7 years.
Wife Pashmeen Manchanda:
In real life Barun sobti got married to his childhood friend,Pashmeen Manchanda on 12th December 2010. It was a simple wedding ceremony held at a Gurudwara in presence of some friends and relatives. His wife is not from the tv industry. Its been heard that she works with multinational company.

Barun Sobti is all set to sizzle the big screen with Main Aur Mr. Right slated to release in couple of months. Main Aur Mr. Right ,Mitali Ghoshal's film is based on cricket with a fresh and talented team. Barun Said about his new project "I am really excited to be working with Mitali and MS productions. It's a great script; the film is based on cricket with many important characters. We will start with the workshops in January and shoot in April. This is the project that I am concentrating on right now and yes I am also reading other scripts but taking my time to decide my next." Recently Barun visited kolkata to shoot for his second film which is tentatively titled as 22 Yards that will be directed by Mitali Ghoshal, who had earlier made the documentary The Warrior Prince on Sourav Ganguly.

They played lead role in sony tv's serial "Baat Hamari Pakki Hai" as shravan and saanchi. In real life Ankita is dating Kuldeep Singh, a doctor by profession. On the other hand, young actor married his childhood friend Pashmeen Manchanda in 2010.Barun sobti as Shravan is a slightly irresponsible guy.

Proving the diversity and challenges coming on the way, he did superb in all the award shows too. he won the Favorite Actor in a Lead Role (Male), Favorite On Screen Jodi with Sanaya Irani and Favorite Fresh Funny Jodi with Sanaya Irani Awards at Galaxy TV Awards 2011. Barun also won the awards for Favourite Naya Sadasya (male), Favorite Jodi with Sanaya Irani and Favourite International Jodi with Sanaya Irani at Star Parivaar Awards 2012. He also won Public Award Best TV Actor in a Lead Role(male) at The Global Indian Film and Television Honours 2012 and Superhit Star male TV Fiction at Big Star Young Entertainer Awards 2012. Barun is considered SRK of television industry and will keep on getting awards in every award show because of his enormous talent and cuteness.

Overall, the serial presented an interesting combination of different personalities in a relationship of love & hate.
