He is an Indian television actor, known for his role as Samrat in the series Miley Jab Hum Tum on STAR One. Apart from serials like Miley Jab Hum Tum, Mohit also has done films like Delhi Heights as Vicky (2007). He has also appeared in dance reality show like Zara Nachke Dikha season 2 in 2010. Mohit Sehgal was nominated for New Talent Awards for Best Actor 2009 & got Kalakar Awards for Best Actor, Best offscreen jodi with Sanaya Irani & Best onscreen jodi with Sanaya Irani.

Mohit Sehgal after playing the famous role of Samrat in Miley jab hum tum, was on a period of rest. Mohit sehgal is making his comeback with star Plus new show Kuch Kehti Hain Ye Khamoshiyan. Khamoshiyan is a dramatic love story based on an NRI who is from London. And the NRI role is being played by the young stud Mohit sehgal. Many actors where approached for the role but now it seems the production house has zeroed in Mohit Sehgal as the lead. It's a challenging role for Mohit Sehgal and he considers Khamoshiyaan to be a mature love story. Mohit sehal is the male lead and is being casted opposite the newcomer Mrinal Thakur aka Gouri Bhosle in the show Khamoshiyan. The show will start its pilot shoot sometime this week and will also go on an international schedule for the shoot.

Mohit Sehgal: I appreciate her honesty and caring nature. They are her most endearing qualities. Sanaya Irani: I can't pinpoint one quality. He has so many good traits. The biggest one is that he has a good clean heart. He is ready to do anything for others and helps people.

Mohit Sehgal:She gets irritated at times -over trivial issues!! I want her to relax and not fret about the small stuff. Sanaya Irani: I guess he is a bit slower when it comes to doing things, while I am a bit faster. Like, I get ready to go out before him or reach on time, while he will be a bit late.
